Camp is a special place, Where else can a kid shoot archery, catch a fish, shoot a basket, learn to make their bed and cook the perfect S'more in one day. Looking past all the fun and games. Camp can have such a huge impact on a child's life.
Among the traditions, crazy games and activities, and new friendships, our campers build character during their time at camp. Camp RIO campers leave camp more confident, capable, and ready for any challenge.
Children grow at camp and discover themselves while not in their parents’ shadows. In a world that is unpredictable, camp provides the gift of resilience.
We are intentional about creating a safe environment where campers feel comfortable trying new things, whether it’s learning to fish or performing a song on stage. By giving them these opportunities, campers grow not only physically, but also mentally and emotionally. Our counselors help campers set goals and reach them throughout the week. Campers learn to find the joy in challenges but don't just take our word for it, we have included some articles below that are a worthwhile read.
