Parent Drop-off and Pick-up
Drop-off and Pick-up Instructions
There are two entrances to camp, but for parent drop-off and pick up, we will be using one for an entrance, and one for an exit. Please use a GPS to make your way to 280 Fish Hatchery Rd. Follow this road to the very end where you will see a large black gate with our signs on it. The driving directions are below.
**Please note- depending on the maps APP you use, you may be directed to the "Exit only" gate. Please see the map to the left for the correct entrance or follow the Driving Directions below.
Front Gate Opens at 7:45 am
The gate will not open before 7:45 am so please plan to wait if you are a bit earlier than that.
Drop-off Area at the Pavilion
You will be directed once inside the camp to drop your camper/s off near the large pavilion. Parents will stay in the car, and our staff will assist your kids in getting their items out of the vehicle. This will help our traffic to flow more smoothly.
Exiting the Camp
Parents will be directed to the exit, which will be on Railroad Street (this connects back to the Frontage Road.)
Pick-up
Pick-up will be the same as drop-off. The gates will open at 3:30 PM for pick up and closing at 4 PM. Late pick-ups may result in additional charges to your account.
Driving Directions to Camp RIO:
Heading North on HWY 77, take the Stillman rd exit.
At the stop sign, take the u-turn to go under the freeway and head south on the frontage rd.
Look for Fish Hatchery Rd on the right just past The Pecan Tree Motel
Turn right and follow this road until the very end.

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY:
Camp RIO uses the Campanion App to communicate emergencies with parents related to weather and transportation. The Campanion App is a simple app that can be downloaded to Apple and Android phones. We also use our email system to communicate with parents should the need arise. In more serious situations, you can expect a phone call from us. Please ensure that the email you used to register your camper is checked regularly, and that you have downloaded the Campanion App to make sure you are kept up to date.
