Premium High Ropes Adventure in the RGV

Opening Summer 2025

Thanks to a generous Quality of Life grant from BCIC, Camp RIO is building a high-adventure ropes course featuring a climb and rappel wall, plus thrilling double zip lines—offering guests the experience of a lifetime, along with opportunities for personal growth and physical challenge.

What is a High Ropes Adventure Course?

A High Ropes Adventure Course is a challenging outdoor activity setup where participants move through a series of obstacles that are suspended high above the ground—often 20 to 50 feet or more in the air. These obstacles can include rope bridges, swinging logs, tightropes, zip lines, cargo nets, and platforms connected by wires or wooden planks.

Participants wear safety gear, including a helmet and a harness that is securely attached to safety lines or cables, so even if they slip, they are safely supported. The course is designed to test balance, coordination, strength, and courage, often offering different difficulty levels. It’s commonly used for recreation, team building, and personal development.

Think of it as an adventure playground in the sky—part obstacle course, part thrill ride. **PHOTO IS A SAMPLE

Climb, Rappel, Zip

In addition to the high elements, the course also features a climbing and rappelling wall, offering a vertical adventure where you can test your strength going up and your nerve coming down. And for an unforgettable finish, you can cruise down our 500-foot Zip Line, soaring through the air for a thrilling end to your adventure. **PHOTO IS A SAMPLE

Construction Update

Exciting progress is underway! With the poles firmly in place, our team is hard at work building stunning new platforms for our guests. Fresh additions are going up daily, and we can’t wait to unveil the full experience—opening Summer 2025!  **ACTUAL PHOTO
