Stay tuned for details to come.

Activity Areas (this is some of what Camp RIO offers)

Archery

Learn the parts of a bow and arrow, how to properly hold the bow and load the arrow, and how to aim at targets in the field.

Canoeing

Come take a ride on one of our canoes and enjoy a beautiful evening with your family while viewing all the natural wildlife around our resaca.

Kayaking

Take out a single person kayak and try your skills in one of these "race cars of the water".

Crafts

Activities may include paper or wood arts and crafts or even something in the kitchen. Stay tuned for new opportunities to be creative at Camp!

Tomahawk Throwing

The tomahawks originated with the Native American people. They regularly used tomahawks made from stone heads which were attached to wooden handles secured by strips of rawhide. General uses included hunting, chopping, cutting, or mainly as a weapon. It's a relaxing and mesmerizing activity that anyone can learn with the proper technique and the right practice.

Spider Web

Kids are welcome to come play at camp in our nature-based play area. The Spider Web is our newest play area featuring a clubhouse and various climbing structures.

Pavilion

Our large open-air pavilion is the perfect place to shoot hoops, knock around a volleyball, or even play pickle pall.  We will offer a variety of activities in our pavilion for you to enjoy.

Murray Field

Murray Field provides an open space where you can kick a soccer ball, play catch, throw a frisbee, or just hang out.

The Grove

This little gem is a beautiful place to sit in a swing and chill, toss bags at a Corn Hole board, play a game of giant chess, or challenge your friend to tic tac toe with stones.

Sand Volleyball

Get your game on and challenge your friends in our sand volleyball pit!

Swimming Pool

Take a refreshing dip in our family friendly pool. Depth is 3'-5' which is perfect for lounging. Come Dressed to swim!

Ebony Gauntlet

This military style obstacle course is a half mile long through one of the oldest Ebony Forests in the area.  How fast can you complete it? Come Find Out!

High ROPES Adventure

Camp RIO's newest addition is a High Adventure Course, Rock Climbing Wall, and Zip Line.  Come see what it's all about!
