Come paddle into a fun and relaxing evening of canoeing at our beautiful resaca!
Join us from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM for an adventure on the water, surrounded by nature and good company. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned paddler, our friendly instructors and lifeguards will be there to help you every step (or stroke!) of the way.
Important: This is not a drop-off event—parents or guardians must stay and join the fun on-site!

Get ready for an evening of adventure!
Join us from 5:30-7:30pm as we explore camp on a real-life treasure hunt! You'll search for hidden caches tucked away in nature! Perfect for a curious mind and an adventurous spirit.
Our Team will be there to guide you and share tips along the way.
This is not a drop off event - parents or guardians must stay and join the fun on-site!

Take aim for an evening of fun at our Archery Event!
Join us for an exciting experience where you can learn the basics of archery or sharpen your skills. With guidance from our instructors, you'll have the chance to practice your aim, build confidence, and enjoy the outdoors.
This is not a drop off event. Parents/Guardians must stay on site.

Step into the night for a guided evening hike at our beautiful property!
Join us from 5:30pm to 7:30pm as we explore the trails under the evening sky. Discover the sights and sounds of nature after hours, learn about our wildlife and enjoy a peaceful walk with our guides leading the way.
What to bring:
-Headlamp *optional*

Step up and take your shot at our Tomahawk Throwing Event!
Come for a unique and exciting outdoor experience. Learn how to safely throw tomahawks, practice your aim, and enjoy the thrill of hitting the target with guidance from trained instructors.
Get ready to try something new, build your skills, and have a great time!

Cast a line and join us for a relaxing fishing evening.
From 5:30-7:30pm we will be enjoying a peaceful evening by the water. Whether you are a first timer or an experienced angler, this is the perfect chance to learn new skills, enjoy nature, and maybe even reel in a BIG CATCH.
Bring your water bottle and bug spray.

9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Get a chance to connect, learn and have fun with us!
From 9:00 am - 2:00 pm your homeschoolers or group will enjoy canoeing, tomahawks, a sensory activity and our free play area. Camp RIO will be providing lunch!
This is the perfect opportunity to learn about the outdoors and meet other homeschool families.
Bring your water bottle and bug spray.

May 29st
8:00 pm - 10:30 pm
Watch a fun movie with Camp RIO!
From 8:00 - 10:30 pm we will be enjoying offering a free movie night for the family to enjoy!
Feel free to bring your lawn chairs, blankets and snacks!
Our Camp Store will be open!
(We will be on concrete and under cover- open air)

Get ready to relax, eat some movie snacks and enjoy some cinema!

Learn the parts of a bow and arrow, how to properly hold the bow and load the arrow, and how to aim at targets in the field.

Come take a ride on one of our canoes and enjoy a beautiful evening with your family while viewing all the natural wildlife around our resaca.

Take out a single person kayak and try your skills in one of these "race cars of the water".

Activities may include paper or wood arts and crafts or even something in the kitchen. Stay tuned for new opportunities to be creative at Camp!

The tomahawks originated with the Native American people. They regularly used tomahawks made from stone heads which were attached to wooden handles secured by strips of rawhide. General uses included hunting, chopping, cutting, or mainly as a weapon. It's a relaxing and mesmerizing activity that anyone can learn with the proper technique and the right practice.

Kids are welcome to come play at camp in our nature-based play area. The Spider Web is our newest play area featuring a clubhouse and various climbing structures.

Our large open-air pavilion is the perfect place to shoot hoops, knock around a volleyball, or even play pickle pall. We will offer a variety of activities in our pavilion for you to enjoy.

Murray Field provides an open space where you can kick a soccer ball, play catch, throw a frisbee, or just hang out.

This little gem is a beautiful place to sit in a swing and chill, toss bags at a Corn Hole board, play a game of giant chess, or challenge your friend to tic tac toe with stones.

Get your game on and challenge your friends in our sand volleyball pit!

Take a refreshing dip in our family friendly pool. Depth is 3'-5' which is perfect for lounging. Come Dressed to swim!

This military style obstacle course is a half mile long through one of the oldest Ebony Forests in the area. How fast can you complete it? Come Find Out!

Camp RIO's newest addition is a High Adventure Course, Rock Climbing Wall, and Zip Line. Come see what it's all about!
