The health and safety of our staff and campers is our number one priority! We've implemented preventative safety procedures detailed below and closely monitor the recommendations from the experts. Our procedures align with the most current safety recommendations made by the CDC, ACA, and the state of Texas.
Camp RIO values the safety of your children. We have developed the following protocols to help your children have a safe summer camp experience.

Having one staff member stay with each group and not interchange with any group
Having all activities outside and in open spaces
Have meal times separated into camp groups (no more than 10 eating with the same group)
Putting siblings together in the same groups

Texas Governor Greg Abbott released updates to COVID mandates for the state. Changes include rescinding the state-wide mask requirement and public area capacity limits starting next week. Our campers, staff, and camper families' health and safety are our top priority, and we will always do our part to keep our community safe. Camp RIO will continue our current safety protocols, including health screenings, wearing masks, ongoing sanitation procedures, and observing social distancing.
